Welcome to Boerne MOPS!
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a non-denominational international organization that exists to encourage mothers to be the best they can be. Boerne MOPS is a monthly program that meets at First Baptist Church Boerne led by mothers, for mothers with children age birth through kindergarten.
At Boerne MOPS we...
- provide a friendly and relaxing atmosphere
- encourage and learn from one another
- enjoy breakfast
- learn from an informative speaker
- meet in small discussion groups
MOPS meetings are the perfect opportunity for moms to connect and encourage each other through small groups and other activities. It also serves as a place to explore the practical, emotional, and spiritual sides of mothering. MOPS also provides opportunities for social outings geared specifically for preschool aged children and their mothers.
The 2010-2011 MOPS International Theme is Momology. Mothering is both an art and a science. It combines all of who we are to shape healthy, resilient kids. Mothering is so complex it requires both sides of our brain - not to mention our hands and feet, eyes and ears, mouth and (sniff, sniff) unfortnately, sometimes even our noses! Through Momology, as we explore together, we'll be guided by an all-knowing, all-powerful, always-present God.
Meetings are held 9-11:30am in the FBC Family Life Building located at 631 S. School Street in Boerne. The fee is $30 per mother per year. Childcare is free! (see more below) Pre-registration is recommended, but registration at the door is also available before each meeting.
MOPS Fall Meeting Dates: Sept. 14, Oct.19, Nov. 9, Dec. 14 MOPS Spring Meeting Dates: Jan. 11, Feb. 8, Mar. 8, Apr. 12, May 10

While Moms are being nurtured in MOPS, their little ones are being cared for and are having fun in MOPPETS. In this program, children experience God's love in a preschool-like setting. Through a Bible-based curriculum, children hear stories, learn songs and experience hands-on activities and crafts.
MOPPETS volunteers and staff who care for the children are loving, Christian people who have a heart for small children. They also hope to bless the MOPS Moms with the peace of mind that their children are being cared for in a fun, educational environment.
